Pre-season is here, and that means one thing.

Hockey is back.

After weeks of planning, recruitment, preparation and getting everything in place behind the scenes, we finally get to see the Dragons back on the ice.

For the players and coaching staff, though, this is where the real work starts.

Pre-season is not about chasing perfect performances or worrying too much about the final score. It is about getting minutes into the legs, building combinations, learning systems and getting this group ready for the league campaign ahead.

There will be new faces finding their feet, returning players getting back up to speed and the coaching staff looking closely at what works, what needs changing and where we can improve.

That is exactly what pre-season is for.

Every shift gives us something to build on.

Every mistake gives us something to learn from.

Every game takes us another step closer to where we need to be when the league starts.

But this period is not just important on the ice.

It is also the time for us to start building the buzz around the club again.

We need everyone behind us.

When you see an upcoming fixture, ticket post, match graphic or club update on Facebook, Instagram or anywhere else, give it a share.
