Deeside Dragons Unveil Special Remembrance Jerseys for November 9th Clash

The Deeside Dragons will proudly wear special Remembrance Jerseys during our home fixture against the Blackburn Hawks on Sunday, 9th November, as we pause to honour and remember all those who made the ultimate sacrifice in service to our country.

This year’s limited-edition design incorporates Welsh flags within the jersey artwork — a heartfelt tribute to the fallen heroes from across North Wales and beyond. The design represents unity, pride, and remembrance, ensuring their legacy lives on within our community and club.

Following the game, every game-worn jersey will be raffled off in a live “Shirt Off the Back” draw, giving fans the incredible opportunity to take home a piece of Dragons history straight from the ice.

After the final buzzer, players will head straight to the changing rooms before making their way to the Gwella Café for the live draw at approximately 8:00pm. Fans are encouraged to join us there, where the players will present, sign, and pose for photos with the lucky winners. A full list of winners will also be published online after the event.

🎟️ Raffle Ticket Prices:

  • £2 for 1 ticket
  • £5 for 5 tickets
  • £10 for 15 tickets
  • £20 for 40 tickets

Tickets will be available to purchase at the rink on the night of the game.

These special jerseys have been kindly donated by our sponsor, FOQA, whose generous support helps make initiatives like this possible.

As part of our ongoing commitment to community and remembrance, a donation from the proceeds will be made to the Royal British Legion – supporting their work with veterans and families across the UK.

Shaun Bebbington, speaking on behalf of the club, said:

“Remembrance is an important time for reflection — not just for those who served, but for the families and communities who continue to carry their memory. We’re proud to honour the fallen from across North Wales and to wear these jerseys as a mark of respect.”

Join us at the Deeside Leisure Centre on Sunday, 9th November, as we remember the fallen, celebrate our community, and cheer on the Dragons in what promises to be a memorable night both on and off the ice.
