The stage is set, the dates are confirmed, and the Moralee Cup Final is officially on the horizon.
Deeside Dragons will face Telford Tigers in a two-legged Moralee Cup Final over the weekend of Saturday 21st and Sunday 22nd February, with silverware on the line and a season’s work ready to be decided over two nights of high-pressure hockey.
The first leg will take place in Telford on Saturday 21st February (doors open 5:10pm with a 6pm face-off), before the tie returns to the Dragons’ Den the following evening for a decisive home leg in Deeside on Sunday 22nd February (doors open 4:30pm with a 5:15pm face-off), where the cup will be lifted at the final buzzer.
After an unforgettable semi-final victory against Blackburn Hawks, the Dragons now stand one step away from lifting the Moralee Cup, a landmark moment in what has already been a remarkable season for the club both on and off the ice.
Cup finals are rarely settled in a single moment. They are built through momentum, discipline, resilience and the ability to deliver when the pressure is at its highest. With the final split across two legs, both nights will play a vital role in shaping the destiny of this year’s competition. The opening encounter in Telford will set the tone, but it will be the return leg in Deeside that ultimately decides who lifts the trophy.
With the Moralee Cup at stake and a home final to look forward to, demand for tickets is expected to be extremely high for both fixtures.
Tickets for the opening leg in Telford will go on sale at 9:00am on Friday 23rd January and will be available to pre-book online via

Travelling Dragons supporters are strongly encouraged to book in advance and select e-tickets to ensure smooth entry on the night. Deeside fans will be advised via club channels which seating and standing sections to book within once allocations are confirmed.
Tickets for the Deeside leg on Sunday 22nd February will go on sale at 9:00am on Monday 2nd February and will be available online via

Tickets will be available for both home supporters and travelling fans, with dedicated allocations in place to create a packed, vibrant atmosphere for cup final night at the Dragons’ Den. Demand is expected to be extremely high, and supporters are urged to secure their seats as early as possible once sales open, with the arena expected to be extremely busy for what promises to be one of the biggest nights of the season.

While club loyalties will naturally be front and centre, this final is about more than just two teams. The Dragons are keen to make this an open final for the wider hockey community and would love to see supporters from across the region join us for what promises to be a showcase occasion for NIHL hockey. Fans from Widnes, Blackburn and beyond are warmly welcomed to be part of a final that celebrates the sport, the competition and the community that surrounds it.
Two clubs, two legs and one trophy. The Moralee Cup Final is coming to Deeside and with it the opportunity to write another chapter in the club’s growing history.
