Dalton “DJ” Back for a 3rd Season

The Steel 4 Structures Deeside Dragons are delighted to confirm that forward DJ Thompson will return for his third season in Deeside colours.

At just 22 years old, DJ has already built up valuable experience within the Dragons’ system. Standing at 6′4″, he brings size and strength to the forward line, while continuing to develop his all-round game.

DJ said:
“I’m really excited to be back with the Dragons for another season. It’s always a privilege to pull on the jersey and go to battle with the boys. I can’t wait to get back out there, put the work in, and see all the fans at The Den again — your support makes all the difference.”

Although still early in his career, DJ has shown flashes of his potential and will be aiming to make an even bigger impact in the upcoming campaign. His return adds depth to the roster as the Dragons continue building momentum ahead of the new season.

Head Coach Mike Clancy said:
“It’s great to have Dalton Thompson back with the Dragons. As a returning player, he already knows what this club is about and what it means to wear the jersey. Dalton adds real depth to our forward group, he’s reliable, hardworking, and can be trusted in different situations, whether that’s creating offence, battling along the boards, or putting in a shift defensively.

Having someone with his experience and understanding of the club is a big boost for us. He’ll strengthen the squad depth and give us more options up front, and I know he’s motivated to play his part in pushing this team forward.”

As the Dragons gear up for the new campaign, Thompson’s commitment underlines the blend of youth, hunger, and determination driving the club forward.
